Yarn: Patons Baby 2 ply 100% wool

Pattern: Dorothy Siemens at Fiddlesticks Knitting

Finished: 25th March 2007

Blocked: 12th April 2007

Size: length - 42 inches

Lovely pattern (as Dorothy's patterns always are). I really like the double edging and the way that makes it heavier at the bottom. This causes it to hang beautifully.

Noro scarf

Yarn: Noro Silk Garden x 3 50g balls. Colour: 226

Source: Shipston Needlecraft

Pattern: Free from "Sheep in the City", available here.

Needles: 6mm circs

Vital Statistics: Length: 210cm; width: 11.5cm

Started: 1st Feb
Finished: 4th Feb

Notes: I used a regular cast off and found it made the end of the scarf splay out in a most unattractive fashion. So I unpicked the cast off and redid it. This time I did K1* K2tog, pass first stitch over. Repeat from * . Oh, I also cast off knitwise on the private ("wrong") side, as I find this gives a better match to the cable cast on.

Here we are in progress:

and here's a close-up of the stitch pattern, which looks almost woven, rather than knitted:

Giotto Jacket

Yarn: Colinette "Giotto" colourway Sahara

Source: Shipston Needlecraft

Pattern: from "Diana - La rivista per la maglia", bought in Sorrento

Needles: 9mm Addi Circs

Started: 4th June 2006
Finished: 30th January 2007

Notes: this yarn was originally a shapeless moss stitch cardigan, which I really didn't like. The yarn was reclaimed and became this jacket. Pattern calls for a huge button at the neck. I have used a hair slide because it was to hand.
